What is nutrition?

Nutrition is needed for the body to complete all the necessary life functions. All living organisms must be fed.

Four reasons why the body needs Nutrition.

  1. Energy  Food is the body’s fuel and energy supplied to the cells so they can perform their functions.
  2. Growth . Food provides the building materials for the production of new cells.
  3. Protect against disease . A variety of food is necessary for disease resistance has to offer.
  4. Repair and replacement of damaged tissue . Nutrients are needed to replace dead cells and wound healing.

Your diet
The food that everyone eats is called his or her diet. A balanced diet will be food that contain the correct amounts vitamins and nutrition. The amount of food we need to be determined by the following factors:

  • age
  • gender
  • activity level

Carbohydrates
The man has the greatest amount of grain and grain products needed because it an immediate source of energy is needed for all the body functions . The main carbohydrate for providing immediate energy is glucose . Glucose in the form of starch in cereal and cereal products stored.

Proteins
The three main functions of proteins are:

  • Serves the body building material
  • Growth of muscle
  • Repairing our wounds

Examples of proteins are: meat , fish , eggs , beans , etc..

Vitamins
Fruits and vegetables are an important component of the diet because vitamins provide the body with the body in good working condition.
